So I've been in seclusion for the past 4 months, so it was only today that I was told about that Altor doujinshi preorders incident over at hitman_reborn. (I know, I'm always late to the party.) Point being, I really wanted to pre-order Naka's doujinshi (because it's GokuTsuna =w=), but I missed the deadline. Hahaha fail.

Then today I received CW26's list of circles and floor plan, and I saw......Naka and Halo are going to be at the con. XDDDDDD;;; AND THEIR TABLES ARE SORT OF CLOSE TO MINE BUT NOT REALLY.

Obviously it was a very bad idea to go looking at other people's art, because then my motivation to finish my own stuff went down to -4837598796759675896. 8D Is it weird that I'm actually more interested in everyone else's stuff than my own? :FFFF

So this means I can probably scoot over to Naka's table for her stuff before the con officially starts. >:D

Finished my set of bookmarks and started on a TYL!Hibari/Chrome doujinshi as a present for youkofujima (which is full of tl;dr and going nowhere HAHAHA). Now I'm rushing a calendar which is chibi & everyone/Tsuna themed. I didn't plan to do it originally, but I found some empty boxes recently at a store and I thought they'd be perfect to put little calendars in.

ANYWAY, go see this awesome video that mmmketchup made, because it is full of win and I wish I could do something like that. *n*

At the moment I am seriously considering sticking my tablet pen up my nose. I've had this cold for 2 days already and it's annoying. >:E

Meeting up with wiccat was awesomely fun. We did a lot of retarded stuff. I'll write more about that later, but I just wanted to post some of the loot I picked up yesterday. I saw these little keychain packets where you get random characters. I've seen them done for Gundam Seed Destiny and Code Geass before, but never Reborn, so I was so happy when I saw them~ =w=



I bought a bunch of these and I was badgered by everyone in the shop to open them (was surrounded by Reborn fans lol). I was D: when I got Ryohei, but I didn't particularly mind, since I do like everyone in the series. I JUST WANTED GOKUDERA THE MOST THOUGH.





I thought Lambo was the cutest. When I got Hibari I was like "Oh....it's Hibari." and the other girls were like "IF YOU DON'T WANT HIM I'LL TRADE YOU FOR YAMAMOTO??!!!!!!"

Yamamoto. HA. HA. HA. No. :P

I was surprised I liked Xanxus when I got him. I'm not a very hardcore Xanxus fan, but I love him with Tsuna. ♥ ♥ One of the girls was like "Oh hay, since you like Xanxus, have this shiny Xanxus card since he'll be in better hands!" LOL RANDOM GIFT. :DDDDDD



Laaaaaastly, wiccat randomly bought me a Hibird purse and Hibari keychain. She knows how obsessed I am with Hibird. ;;;;;_____;;;;; Thank you wiccy~~~ The purse is so soft and fluffy.....I can never use it!



Afterwards, we went to my printer's coz wiccy asked me to give her some stuff to sell at a con (dunno what con it is....Yaoicon? I forget) so I went to make prints and stickers. If you see my stuff at a US con that's wiccy selling on my behalf. <333333


Anyway, I'm exhausted. Update more later. @_@

Random note: I'm gone for a few days and suddenly an influx of people friend me? :ooooo Where do you guys all come from?! XD; Anyway, uh, welcome to my LJ? :D

Whenever I see someone's icons made from fanart with the comment "DO NOT TAKE", I get the irresistable urge to do exactly that, even if I don't like the icon in the first place. So far I haven't done it yet, but I'm sure eventually I will, because nothing reeks more of arrogance and self-entitlement than someone who makes icons from fanart (without asking permission from artist), fails to credit said artist, yet demands that the icon is theirs and no one should dare take it or risk a painful death.

The fact that you've right-clicked and saved someone's art, or scanned it and then slapped on some shoddy coloring doesn't put you on the same level of creativity or ownership as the person who actually, you know, drew it. An even better question would be this: why do those iconists think it's okay to take someone's art (when it's clearly contrary to what the artists want), yet they get all possessive over their icons made from said art? And yes, I really do want to know the answer to this. It's fucking 100 x 100 pixel icons, people. >:E

Rant not aimed at any particular person, but if you think it applies to you then it probably does.

On another note, I watched Slayers Revolution last night. The art style is similar to that of Slayers Premium, and the CG is very shiny and bright. Slayers was the first anime I became truely obsessed with since I watched it when I was....11? I can't remember anymore. But I remember trying to order the artbooks and manga while having little to no money, and trying to catch the anime after piano lessons....... XDDDD;;;

Watching it again feels a little weird, because I feel like I'm 11 years old again. Except uh, I have more money. :D

As of today, I realized I own three large boxes of doujinshi. Have to get rid of the FMA ones at some point. D:

Doujinshi reviews. I've been wanting to do this for a long time. I've more or less figured out which circles I'll be collecting, and which I'll pass in the future.



Ririadoll's artstyle alone doesn't top my list of "must haves", and I think it's much more suited for Code Geass (which she also does, not surprisingly), but because of her storylines, I've been collecting her work. For those who are familiar with her previous works, you'll know that her stories are improbable and ridiculously hilarious (and also very NOT WORK SAFE). Like the doujinshi where Tsuna got screwed over (literally) by Mukuro followed by Hibari over 500 yen. And the other doujinshi where Mukuro and Hibari fantasize about fucking Tsuna with a chocolate dildo. Umm, right. Anyway, moving on!!!

This one is about Tsuna being forced to wear little lace panties to school. My guess is that Reborn was behind this for punishment. Either way, Tsuna is worried about revealing his panties if he goes into dying will mode. Yes, yes, I would be worried too, Tsuna baby. *n* As for Hibari, he enjoys himself thoroughly and cuts open the panties with a paper knife and holy shit that is dangerous, Hibari. At this point, Tsuna looks like a boy with a vagina and much porn is to be had. The end!

Well, there's also Tsuna's mom finding a pair of lace panties in the laundry and going o_O;;;;; at the end of it.




This is a 5927 anthology by various artists such as BBP, Angelica, Chitty Chitty, Wrong Direction, Cotton Candy, etc. All the big 5927 circles have a hand in this, so it's a very thick book. I heard Nalis (primarily a Yamamoto/Gokudera artist) was in this anthology too, so I figured it was a must-buy, since I've heard nothing but good things about this artist. This anthology is set out like a magazine, with mock ads for stuff like 5927-flavoured tea (lololol).

The anthology is worth the money even if you have scans of it. I liked Angelica's section a lot - she's really improved and developed a sexy style in drawing Gokkun (compared to her older works). TypeSK's 4-koma section was ultra cute, and Cotton Candy's section hit the spot in showing how gentle Gokkun is (when he washes Tsuna's foot carefully and kisses it towards the end). BBP didn't stand out too much, because it was so ordinary, but it was there sure enough.

As for Nalis, I must be like, the only person who wasn't "OMGNALIS!!!101111111" when this anthology came out. Her art style doesn't really hit the spot for me. I know it does for other people in the KHR fandom (since she's one of the big artists for the 8059 pairing), but I'll be frank and say I didn't like her Gokudera, and I thought her Tsuna was bland. You can wank at me for not worshipping her, but I'll still stand by my 2 yen.

However, I do own some of her 8059 doujin, and I thought those were alright.





This is my special doujinshi that youkofujima got me at SuperComi. I loved it much more than all the BBP, Ririadoll and Apple of Eden ones she got for me (lol ironic since she lined up for hours for those). Type-SK isn't one of those artists who draws serious stories with a brilliant serious art style, and had I been at the con myself, it is likely I would have just passed her table without a second glance (ordinary cover is ordinary). However, she wins so much with her stories. This book is all 4-koma, but it's a continuous story about wolf!Gokudera being assigned the job (by squirrel!Ninth) to seek out and protect squirrel!Tsuna. It's so cute it causes cavities - the part I loved the most was squirrel!Tsuna saying how Gokudera's tail is so warm and fluffy, and wolf!Gokudera immediately rips out all the fur on his tail without a second thought and goes "Here you go! :D" However, the fur gets blown away by the wind, and at the end of the book (when it's winter), Gokudera gives Tsuna a blanket made from his tail fur so Tsuna can hibernate comfortably......while his furless tail is undefended against the cold winter wind.

I will be keeping an eye out for this artist from now on. <3333

I'm in the middle of packing my stuff into boxes. We're going to be moving next week and there's a ton of stuff to throw away. I already threw away all my manga (except for Reborn, obviously), and I felt like throwing all my Roy/Ed doujinshi off the 25th floor (if that would help me save some space haha). I can't, however, part with my GokuTsuna doujinshi. youkofujima sent me a whole batch from SuperComi, and it arrived a few days ago. I should probably make a separate post because long post is getting looooong. But omg, BBP's Spanner/Tsuna and Ririadoll's Hiba/Tsuna doujins is so filthy smutty it borders along hilarious. XDDDDDDDDD;;;;; ILU Youko! Thank you for everything ESPECIALLY THAT CHIPMUNK TSUNA ONE THAT WILL BE OUR SPECIAL DOUJIN AMIRITE Y/Y?!!!!!! ♥ ♥

Red Bull doesn't really do anything for me anymore, other than like, make my hand tremble a lot and doing weird shit wiht my inking. I wonder if it's because I lived on that stuff throughout my university years, I've become resistent to it? @_@ I don't really like the taste of coffee though.

Recently, this new line of cup noodles came out. This flavour (vietnamese chicken) was sold out everywhere for a week, which was pretty amazing. Was it because of the discount? I finally managed to get one in the supermarket, but after trying it, I didn't think it was particularly special.

I really hope I can finish it because I draw so slow. But so far it's going smoothly. I'm going to sell this at the December RG2 since there's no way I can make the June deadline, with work and all. I'm glad I have youkofujima and hieronymousb to put up with me all the time when I go batshit crazy over having to redraw stuff again and again. Thank you guys! XD;

These are by HK doujinshi artists. Ironically, although I hate Yama/Goku, most of my favourite ones were that pairing (I bought it for the art, clearly).



These are from Japan, obviously. Although Cotton Candy and Angelica seem to be popular, I realized I didn't really like them that much, but I buy them anyway because they do 5927. BBP is my favourite artist, as Wrong Direction is soon becoming a favourite too (although I've yet to own something from the latter). The BBP anthology on the bottom right is love. It's pure smut from beginning to end. Youko is going to send me more BBP stuff omg. *_*

Today, I went to the printer's, but it turned out my regular printer and a lot of other printing places closed early for Chinese New Year holiday and wouldn't open until next week (CW25 would be over by then. =.=). I tried a couple of places that were open, but they couldn't open my files because they were too big, or the card they used was a flimsy low-quality type.

In the end, I found a printing place at the basement of this old half-deserted mall near where I live, and surprisingly, the print quality was almost exactly like my regular printer's (and cheaper too). Though I did have to give them my disk and go back home for 2 hours because it took a lot of time for my files to open.

The sad thing was, because that shop was owned by this cranky old man, I didn't dare ask him to print the sort-of-not-worksafe-but-still-technically-worksafe 5927 print, so I'll save that for August or something.
